Aah. Sorry for not updating for a while. Been busy organizing my BL purchases for the next few months and I’m still trying to finish Persona 4, lol. But I am back with this short review – or preview for those who haven’t checked out this wonderful book yet.
So as I said in this post, I finally decided to do the review today since I got too lazy to do it in more earlier time. （￣□￣；）
Anyway, Moe Danshi Gatari is basically an artbook which contains 52 gorgeously colored illustrations of different Moe men types by 52 different mangakas. Some of the noted mangakas that contributed here are: Nakamura Asumiko, Aniya Yuiji, Itsuki Kaname, Est Em, Matsumoto Miecohouse, Yoneda Kou, Natsumizu Ritsu, Fujimoto Haruki, Manda Ringo and Nangoku Banana.
Those are just some of the noted ones. There are a lot more interesting mangakas who contributed here so I suggest everyone to buy this wonderful book. （*´▽｀*）
Ishino Aya’s “Poetic Danshi“. Ishino Aya’s art style kind of reminds me of Jaryuu Dokuro’s but with more play of colors.
Inoue Nawo’s “Kedaruge Danshi“. The laid back guy. Really, really love this one – just my type, lol. I’ve always loved Inoue Nawo’s art ever since I laid my eyes on her “Ameoto no Uta“, but never had the chance to read any of her works – really lazy to download scanlated mangas lately. (ーー;)
Est Em’s “Sukiari Danshi“. Mmm. You can never go wrong with men in suits, lol. Wait whut.
Katou Setsuko’s “Apron Danshi“. Katou Setsuko’s illustration looks lovely as always.
Shimaji’s “Tenpa Danshi“. Ah yes, natural perm. I’ve always loved these types. They’re the ones who I am usually attracted to – PLUS THOSE GLASSES AND THAT OVERSIZED CARDIGAN. OHOHOHO. Love love love.
Taumi Mayu’s “Obakakei Danshi” or what we call the popular “baka pact”, lol. So adorable!
Takarai Rihito’s “Doubutsu to Tawamureru Danshi“. Ah, the shoujo favorite – guys playing with animals. （￣ー￣）
Nakamura Asumiko’s hilarious “Hioshare Megane Danshi“. It’s basically a good-looking guy who wears glasses but doesn’t have any fashion sense, lol. One of my favorites! Now if I only know where I can get that sweater…
Matsumoto Miecohouse’s “Moto Yancha Danshi“. Also one of my favorites. I’ve always loved ex-delinquent or ex-juvenile characters, lol. Also, the illustration is just splendid. （*´▽｀*）
Yoneda Kou’s “Tsukareta Riman Danshi“. My husband. Loljk.
This is the type of character I’ve always loved from Yoneda Kou’s art. As usual, the illustration is perfect. Position, coloring and all.
So that concludes today’s short review. For those who haven’t purchased this artbook yet, I really, really insist you do! (*u*) It’s totally worth-buying especially for those who can read Japanese. All of the illustrations are just wonderful. Totally recommended.
I’ll be reviewing Moe Danshi Gatari 2 soon. I liked the second book more because Aoi Seri and most of my beloved mangakas are included there. （*´▽｀*） nonetheless both books are wonderful. I really hope for a 3rd book soon, lol.
