this month in BL manga

Finally got around to at least make (or try making) a decent entry for after how many months. I’ve noticed, whenever school starts that’s only the only time when I actually feel motivated to make decent blogs entries. ;;

– For moca 12, Ogura Muku will be on the cover and some pretty exciting oneshots of wanko (dog) BL by Kojima Lalako, Kashio, Takarai Saki and Mizuno Naiki (also her debut appearance in moca!). Crying at the thought of wanko BL. I have never read any of Mizuno Naiki’s woks (although I’m sure I’ve talked about her in one of my blog posts and that was about how pretty her art is judging from her previous release, Mezawari na Otoko).

– drap has also released Tanaka Ball’s and Ootsuki Miu’s newest tankoubons. click!
Aaaah I don’t think I’ll be getting these at the moment. Although I’m not exactly sure about Tanaka Ball’s since I really haven’t read any of her works yet? But the cover looks pretty amusing so I might! Too bad I won’t be able to get the booklet/s by the time I buy my copy. ;;

– Hanaoto has also updated their site with new covers + December releases.

*Click here for December release list.

– As for Gush comics, only got to take note of Shimaji’s Love Cafe Mocha and Kuwabara Yuuko’s Kimi to Asagohan!

– I’m not sure if all of you know about Ishino Aya’s “room share” but it got released lately and I’m very excited about it! I’ve been tentatively following it since I did collect quite a number of OPERA anthologies so I got to read some of the chapters. It’s an interesting story eventhough I don’t know much about Ishino Aya’s works since I only get to discuss it with a certain friend who pretty much collected all her previous releases (Tsubaki series) and I only have one tankoubon of hers that I got to buy which was Amanojaku no Koi.

– Not for November but I’m pretty much excited for Kobato Mebaru’s upcoming release this December entitled “Oboreru Koi no Itade” (Dear+Comics). I know I’ve mentioned before about how much I love Kobato Mebaru’s works since I’ve read and loved most of her works!

——–

Okay, that’s it for now. I actually forgot to make a continuation of my sneak peek post (which includes Erotoro, Kojima Lalako and Yamano Deco—if I’m not mistaken only those I think. But I was also planning on showing you guys a book I just got to discover entitled “Mousou Hello Work“. It’s not BL but a textbook of some sort that explains different kinds of professions—normal to fantasy ones. I don’t really get the sense of it all but it was a pretty fun read nonetheless. Also, I’ve burried myself with BL for the past few weeks juggling drawing practice and I have lots—I mean LOTS to talk about in here if I can find the time to actually make long blog posts! By those I mean reviews, (finally!) mangaka insights, BL commentaries and so on.

‘Tis the season of Yamashita Tomoko!

It’s already the Christmas season you guys! \*w*/ and what’s even more exciting is that a lot of new yummy BL releases are coming our way! ❤

→ So what I’ve noticed these past few weeks is that Yamashita Tomoko seems to be appearing a lot lately. I’m not that updated with her works so I’m not really sure why I’ve been seeing a lot of her nowadays, orz. But I’ve been waiting for onBLUE 4 nonetheless! ;u; I finally got to see the cover a while ago and god it looks gorgeous.

More exciting stuff in this issue which is making me cry because I’m not sure if I’m going to get myself a copy. ;n;

September haul.

Hello everyone! It’s been ages since I last updated here and I’m terribly sorry about that. Also, our desktop PC keeps on hanging lately which made updating so much difficult. orz;;

On another note, our hell weeks will be finally over really soon and I just can’t wait to have a long deserved(?) rest, lol. Anyway!

So my orders finally arrived today and I swear 1 week was really worth the wait.  I was supposed to receive it last week if I ordered the week before. Unfortunately, I got too busy and just got to order it last week. ;;

This is my first order for September and the second one that will hopefully arrive by next month will include Yamada Papiko’s original tankoubon debut release and some more exciting releases! Aaah I love September ’11, lol. *w* Continue reading

Some small things I find “pretty-interesting”.

Literally “pretty” and “interesting”, that is. ;;

→ For the past few weeks, I’ve been spazzing about a newly discovered mangaka that eventually forced me into buying Canna’s volume 16. Guess who?

It’s Yamada Torico! *u*

I just can’t get over her art style. When I first saw Canna post some previews in their twitter account, Yamada Torico’s work really caught my attention. It’s looks so adorable and her coloring is pretty as well! For the story, it’s basically about a boy named Miyamae-kun who has an enormous love and inspiration for his grandmother. He even go to such lengths as growing up pretending to be a girl — until his grandmother died. But even if he stopped pretending to be a girl, he still followed one trait — again, inspired by his grandmother, and that is finding his own “prince” — just like how his grandmother found hers (which was obviously his grandfather). Some exciting releases.

Sorry it’s only now that I got to check some BL release updates. This will be kind of a short post since I forgot to list down all the releases for this month and next month. Gahd. OTL

These are just some of the exciting releases for May and June..

For drap, Okuda Nanao’s releasing her latest tankoubon, “Kimi no Tonari wa Ore no Mon!” on the 25th of May. I’m really, really excited for this even if I only got to read her “Rinjin wo Aisou” just recently. I must say it was soo cute!! The characters are adorable and the plot was very nice. Can’t wait to read more of her works soon!

She also had her “Go no Ato de Kisu o Shite” tankoubon release from Asuka Comics last May 1 together with other title releases by Abe Miyuki, Kitabeppu Nica and Nakamura Shungiku.

And for other exciting drap releases…

Aoi Levin’s “Mata Ai ni Iku” and Jaryuu Dokuro’s “Yakozen“. Really excited about these releases since I rarely buy BL magazines (lazy to do so, actually) so what I do is just patiently wait for its tankoubon to be announced/released. Although I try my best to keep updated with some since I’m always on the look-out for new artists whose works I can actually follow – take Kojima Lalako and Junko for example. (*´▽`*)
